POWERS:

[Oblivion ] Pros: After locking her jaw over something, Rashida may tap into Ammit’s power, incinerating anything within her maw.

Cons: Due to the power behind the ability, Rashida’s jaw stays locked in place after the power is used, preventing speech, causing her to be unable to use her jaw for combat, and attracting monsters within 50m for 30 seconds.

Limitations: the power is instantaneous, meaning it will only affect anything inside her, not something attempting to be forced into her more, such as a long claw or the like. Being used upon a heart negates the cons, due to the fact it is the power’s intended purpose.

[Ammit’s Gift ] Pros: Rashida’s body was used to create her anchor, giving her an alligator head, lion’s mane upon her neck, claws on her hands, some scales trailing down her back, and a lion’s tail. All of these are equivalent to their animal counterpart’s.

Cons: Due to the carnivorous nature of her anchors, Rashida’s metabolism is three times that of the average human, requiring more food to stay alive.

Limits: Rashida’s anchors are physical parts of her body. While they are tough, they can break or be injured, causing extreme pain.

ABILITY:

[Beastial Senses] Pros: Rashida’s sense of balance, sight, and smell are extremely potent, allowing her to physically track creatures by scent if need be. 

Cons: Rashida has a physical urge to devour hearts. For all intents and purposes; it’s extremely healthy for her to, if she can get passed the taste of blood and sinew. The anchor points also have a dulled sense of touch, due to scales and similar additions.

Rashida is not someone you would always notice, or would be if not for her anchors. She prefers to be rather solitary, however, she is very in-the-moment, often times trusting her senses more than the actual information she was given. Despite this, she is loyal to those who gain her trust, and would fight even impossible-looking battles for said people. She’s nervous around people she doesn’t know, however, often stammering and avoiding eye-contact. When the heat’s on though, she breaks through that nervousness to truly help those in need whenever possible. Her actions are greatly influenced by the laws she believes in.

History/Background:

Rashida lived in modern day Egypt. Her early years were pretty simple, as many are, but then increase in violence as wars broke out within the area. The teachings of the Quran were what she clinged to as leaders were toppled and she found herself caught in a war she had no investment in. She rebelled when she could get away with it, while avoiding the conflicts but helping injured men and women. She worked at a local restaurant as a chef for a better part of her adult life. The war's influence was inescapable, but the place became an almost cease-fire area. That is to say, neither side knew the other ate there, or, if they did, they did not wish to risk harming civilians in order to kill one enemy soldier.  However, she couldn’t keep one foot over the line forever. As tensions increased, she found herself being asked to help one side or the other, to fight against oppression, or for order. This decision was not one she was given the chance to make, however, and she awoke in Thrylosia’s desert, unaware of her previous fate.

Appearance: Rashida's snout is actually that of a Nile crocodile, with the same coloration (a grayish-green, #4d6039) and, though she'd avoid showing anyone, beneath her hijab is a lion's mane. Her eyes are a golden-tone, with slit pupils. The human parts of her are a tan shade (#c68c53). For her clothing, she prefers lighter colors, her hijab being sky-blue (#b3cce6), with a lighter tone of blue for her jacket, with a gray long-sleeved shirt beneath (#d9e4f2, #737373), with a very dark blue skirt (nearly black) in a shiny material that goes down to her boots, which are similarly black.      End of her shift. Part of her disliked having to leave the restaurant, as exhausting as it was. She enjoyed trying to make new dishes to match one taste or another in the diverse town. She was tasked with emulating dishes from all over the world, the different tastes and accents to them always made her smile. And the scents- the aroma of the kitchen made her mouth water with the delicious scents, even more so with her enhanced senses.  

        Carefully, however, she gathered her things, made sure her outfit was in order, and trailed out of the back door of Valhalla, eager to enjoy a little laziness when she got home. A little hum emanated from her throat, a bouncy little tune from the modern world, as she began the reasonable trek from her place of work, home.
